In 1998 God placed it upon the heart of Christian Cowboy Poet, Fred G. Ellis to perform his cowboy show in the prisons and to give the inmates an encouraging message from God's word. Not asking why, Fred obeyed and from that first show God has developed a truly unique ministry reaching inmates and their children.

 

      As a Christian and fellow Cowboy Poet, I was privileged when Fred asked me to write an article for 'the Fence Post Magazine' about CCM. I am pleased to say the article produced much interest but none more then my own. After praying about getting more involved with CCM, God lead me to accept a board position. Little did I know I would be honored with being elected President.
